How do you guys deal with chemo brain? I have been having trouble with memory, so I make a lot of lists and write things down to remember them. Does anyone do anything differently to cope with the effects?

When I was told that the chemo could affect learning/memory, I bought a brain teasers book and tried to do it every day. It was not only fun and challenging but it also made me feel like I was proactively doing something to prevent brain fog and take control back. Also there is a great website and phone app called lumosity that has brain teasers/puzzles! I am going into the field of neuroscience/neuropsychology so this type of stuff really interests me! :b
Permalink Reply by Lexi Chopp on January 19, 2013 at 7:28pm I definitely agree with Allison. I try to do puzzles and little things like that to keep my brain working in different ways.. sometimes word puzzles and sometimes number ones like sudoku. Lists have definitely been helpful too. I try to write everything down on my calendar the instant I know the details because I have notice my "chemo brain" has definitely gotten worse as time goes on.
