Hi Everyone,

I have posted in awhile, but it is my resolution to post on this site on a more consistent basis! For those of you who dont know me, my name is Jackson Allison and I am a lymphoblastic lymphoma cancer survivor.  I was cured when I was a freshman in high school, and I now attend the University of California, Berkeley, as a double major in Economics and History.

I am writing this because the beginning of classes for me is always incredibly stressful.  It' a new environment and a new set of classes to attempt to take ownership of.  But, whenever I get too caught up in the stress of what is going on, I remember my past.  I remember the energy, and drive it took for me and my family to get over my illness, and the stress of school becomes nothing.

Take the trials and tribulations you went through to heart, learn from them, and overcome them.

Your Friend,

Jackson

Thank you for this post, Jackson!  I too get caught up in the stress of school and life in general and there are things that remind me of my experiences and it brings me back down to the reality of the situation, and these stresses become small when put in that perspective.  Unfortunately I don't always remember this right away and get caught up in the stresses for too long.
