After going through cancer treatment, I have gained a new appreciation for my body and as a result, I have made many changes to help me take better care of it. Exercise, obviously, is of the utmost importance. It is something I have always done and will continue to do. I currently do predominately cardio workouts, jogging being one of my favorites, with a light weightlifting regimen as well. I don’t think I need to explain why exercise is important; it just makes you feel better and relieves stress. As far as diet is concerned, this is where I have made the most improvement. Before my cancer diagnosis, I was an athlete so I really didn’t care what I put into my body. However, now I am much more wary about what I consume; I try to eat fruits and vegetables as often as possible and I have cut back significantly on unneeded sugars (soda and candy). For protein, I try to eat mostly eggs, white meat, and fish, although I am still a sucker for red meat every now and again. And of course, sleep, glorious sleep. If I don’t get at least 7-8 hours I am pretty much useless. That sums up my best attempt at healthy living; nothing special, but much better than before.

If you Google their website, you might still be able to view it for free. Completely changed our outlook on how the food we eat is connected to our health and body.
